“What a Wonderful World” was written in 1967 by Bob Thiele and recorded by Louis Armstrong.

Louis Armstrong received $250 for recording "What a Wonderful World." He took minimum pay to ensure that the band got paid.

“What a Wonderful World” was re-released in 1988 after it was used in the Robin Williams movie, Good Morning, Vietnam.
