“Just The Way You Are” was written by Billy Joel, 1977.

"Just The Way You Are" won Grammy awards in 1978 for Song of the Year and for Record of the Year. Linda Ronstadt and Phoebe Snow had to convince Billy Joel to include this song on his “The Stranger” album because he didn’t think that the audience would like it.

Billy Joel wrote this song about his first wife, Elilzabeth, and he gave it to her as a birthday present.
