“How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” was written by Robin Gibb and recorded by The Bee Gees in 1971. It was the first of their hits to reach the top of the charts. It was originally written specifically for Andy Williams, but when he turned it down the Bee Gees decided to record it themselves.
