“Always On My Mind” was recorded by Willie Nelson in 1982. It was written by Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson Thompson.

It was first recorded by Brenda Lee in 1971 and reached #45 on the country charts in 1972. Elvis Presley recorded his version in 1972 and it reached #16 on Billboard Magazine's country singles chart.

Willie Nelson's version was released in 1982 and became #1 on Billboard's country chart. It was awarded the Grammy for Song of the Year and also Country Music Association's Song of the Year.
