“I Will Always Love You” was written by Dolly Parton who wrote and recorded this song in 1974. It was #1 on the Country charts in 1974 and again in 1978.

Whitney Houston’s version, in 1992, was a more lavish production and became a #1 Adult Contemporary hit. It stayed at #1 in the US for 14 weeks, a record at the time.

"I Will Always Love You" was used in the movie, The Bodyguard, starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. The Bodyguard soundtrack became the bestselling soundtrack of all time.
