“I Just Called To Say I Love You” was written by Stevie Wonder for the 1984 film, The Woman In Red. It was his eighth #1 hit in the US.

Dionne Warwick was working on the soundtrack for The Woman In Red and suggested Stevie Wonder to the producers. Stevie wrote the score for the movie and he and Dionne contributed songs to the movie.
