Have you ever wondered what some of those multi-letter abbreviations that email writers use so often mean? I think most people have caught on that TTFN means Ta Ta For Now. But there are new online acronyms being added every day.

So, if you are sending emails back and forth with someone online you'll want to have a clue about what some of those online acronyms are. You'll want to be able to use them correctly when writing back.

Here is a brief list of acronyms to get you started. These are some that you might see while corresponding by email with someone who you met through an online dating service.

411 - Information
4GM - Forgive me
AFK - Away from keyboard
AISI - As I see it
AMBW - All my best wishes
ASL - Age, Sex, Location?
ATST - At the same time
