• A wonderful feature of FriendFinder is that the free membership allows you to do many of the things that you have to pay for on most dating sites. There are two sections to the site, the Friend Network and the Dating and Romance section. Your profile in the Dating section will be more extensive than your profile in the Friend section and you are welcome to use both sections freely. You’ll be able to search among members for those that interest you most. You won’t be able to initiate contact with others using the free membership, but those who are interested in you can contact you. For a limited time the gold membership also provides free private chat room usage, a very nice benefit.

Features

• Winks. A teaser. Your wink lets another member know that they have been noticed by you. You are able to view a list of all those who have winked at you. It’s a great feeling!

• Hot List. This lets you bookmark those members who interest you. You can easily keep track of whether they are on line or not.

• Cupid. This is a great idea. You select a variety of criteria and Cupid will browse through the huge membership base and notify you weekly of those members who match your criteria. This “angel” will find interesting people that you might miss yourself, plus Cupid works while you sleep.

• Highlight. For a small extra fee you can have your profile and emails highlighted. It will stand out on the page. Remember, this is a huge membership base.

• Personality Profile. The 25 question profile and 16 bonus questions do not take long to fill out. You will receive an interesting and comfortable description of yourself. If you think it is way off you can redo the profile. Then view those who match your profile. A very nice feature.

• Interest Groups. There are 15 categories or interest groups that you or your date or friend can belong to. Groups range from Sports to Religion and from Outdoor Clubs to Music and everything in between, about 150 groups in all.

• Chat Room. There is always activity going on 24 hours a day. Join by geographical location or by topic of interest.

• Browse. Browse in three main categories; gender, pen pals, and activity partners.

• Voice Introduction. Another neat idea and FriendFinder has a lot of them! You can include a 60 second voice introduction with your profile.
