The Dating Advisor, Issue #15 -- Father's Day Special June 19, 2005 |
| Helping you to enjoy Online Dating.
Welcome to all! Father’s Day is every bit as special as Mother’s Day in my opinion. Be sure to do something special for that most important man in your life. If you have a chance to talk to your dad, try to recall a special memory that will bring a smile to his face. And if you’re a dad, go ahead and recall a special memory of your child that will bring a smile to their face. It is midsummer by solstice timing. The days are long and warm and now is a great time to spend some time in local parks. Take a special person to a park and make it memorable. Most people remember the early summer trips the best. And in a special relationship those memories are important. They build a history and allow a connection. Take advantage of the opportunity now. I’ve included an interesting article by David DeAngelo in this issue. Guys pay close attention. Ladies, check to see if his advice is right on.
Be sure to check out the reviews below of a couple of the best dating services on the internet, Lavalife.com and YahooPersonals.com. Internet dating is one of the best ways for busy singles to safely meet and to get to know each other.

YahooPersonals.com Membership One of the key features that makes Yahoo Personals so successful is the personal profile which you can create for free. It will take you a little more time to create than most because it encompasses about 5 pages and over 60 important areas. There are numerous articles on the site to help you create, revise, and refine your profile so that it will get maximum exposure and results. You’ll see how accurate the search results are if you have taken care with your profile. Then send an Icebreaker to someone nice, or to several nice someones. That will get the ball rolling and the interest flowing, and soon you’ll be quite busy with chats and emails. As one happy member put it, "Conversation is so easy time flies. We have fun together no matter what we’re doing." Review continues Click Here.
2) The Bridges of Madison County Movie Review
It's great to see two seasoned veterans, Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood together in a love story. They make the story so real. It's a great study of attraction, passion, and maturity. You'll enjoy it again.
"Some called it a snooze-fest, while others tearfully clutched their Kleenex. In any case, Clint Eastwood was an unusual and (as it turned out) perceptive choice to direct and costar in this lush adaptation of Robert James Waller's phenomenally bestselling novel. Meryl Streep costars as Francesca, the lonely Iowa farmer's wife who is instantly attracted to Robert (Eastwood), the photographer from National Geographic who is in the area to photograph the bridges along Iowa's rural roadways. The two fall in love while Francesca's husband and children are away at a county fair, but the story's passion and lasting appeal derive from their decision to part forever after just a few brief days of intimate connection. Superbly acted with an emphasis on quiet, graceful moments of tender revelation, the film builds to a crescendo of powerful and conflicting emotions. Like David Lean's Brief Encounter (to which it bears marked similarities), The Bridges of Madison County is destined to become one of the classic movie love stories." 3) Find a unique, fun gift at Prime Wine
Expect great service from a staff who is available 7 days a week. Search for and order wines by Price, by Region, by Color, or by Taste. It's easy to order online or by phone. Buy accessories to go along with the great wine. Share a fine wine with someone special!
4) The Top Ten Reasons Why Men Fail With Women by David DeAngelo MISTAKE #1: Being Too Much Of A “Nice Guy” Have you ever noticed that the really attractive women never seem to be attracted "nice" guys? Of course you have. Just like me, I'm sure you've had attractive female friends that always seemed to date "jerks"... but for some reason they were never romantically interested in YOU. What's going on here? It's actually very simple... Women don't base their choices of men on how "nice" a guy is. They choose the men they do because they feel a powerful GUT LEVEL ATTRACTION for them. And guess what? Being nice doesn't make a woman FEEL that powerful ATTRACTION. And being NICE doesn't make a woman CHOOSE you. I realize that this doesn't make a lot of logical sense, and it's hard to ACCEPT... but GET OVER IT. Until you accept this FACT and begin to act on it, you'll NEVER have the success with women that you want. MISTAKE #2: Trying To “Convince Her To Like You" What do most guys do when they meet a woman that they REALLY like... but she's just notinterested? Right! They try to "convince" the woman to feel differently.
5) She Walks In Beauty by Lord Byron Love poems have the power to inspire us and to warm our hearts. We should take a few minutes each day to recall an inspirational line or stanza. She Walks In Beauty
She walks in beauty, like the night
One shade the more, one ray the less,
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
Lord Byron’s opening couplet to “She Walks In Beauty” is among the most memorable and most quoted lines in romantic poetry. The opening lines are effortless, graceful, and beautiful, a fitting match for his poem about a woman who possesses effortless grace and beauty.
6) Love Song: I Just Called To Say I Love You This song can remind you of that special someone in your life or it can remind you to call your dad. Maybe you should do both. CENTER> I Just Called To Say I Love You
No New Year's day to celebrate
No April rain
I just called to say I love you
No summer's high
No Libra sun
I just called to say I love you
I just called to say I love you
That's all for now. Make it a great week. Again, don't forget to call your dad. Mark |
